Eating and Exercising for Optimal Health

When looking to achieve overall sustained beauty, there is certainly some truth to the statement “true beauty comes from within.” A healthy mind means a healthy body, which means a beautiful exterior, too.

Step 1: Get Your Eight Hours a Day
We are talking about sleep, of course. Not only will a good night’s rest refresh and reenergize you for your day ahead, but it is also a proven way to keep your metabolism up. Give yourself time to settle in and unwind for the evening, shooting for a minimum of 7 hours of sleep a night. Ultimately, your body will thank you.
Step 2: For true and sustained weight loss, small, balanced meals rule
By dividing your daily caloric intake into three moderate meals, with two snacks in between, you are not only keeping your body fueled and energized throughout the day, but you are also preventing huge spikes in your blood sugar level at any given time. Another benefit of eating throughout the day is that you don’t give your body the opportunity to feel ravenous, which prevents overeating in the long run.
Step 3: Regular exercise does a whole world of good
Get up, get out, and move your body. Regular exercise is not only good for your endurance, stamina, and muscle tone, but it is also a proven natural mood enhancer. Regular physical activity – at least half an hour five to six times a week – ensures that your muscles stay fit and toned and your metabolic rate stays high. A win-win, all around!
While there is no quick-fix formula for achieving optimal health and wellness, following these guidelines will put you well on your way to greater wellbeing.
