How To Make Lip Gloss at Home

Now a days when pries are rising toward sky no one can afford luxuries easily , especially when women find cosmetics as a necessity because they use it everyday. It forms part of their daily regimen. Lip balm, lip liner, and lip care are only a few of the most used cosmetics.

With modern technology, making some of our wants at home is now possible. You can create your personalized lip gloss in the convenience of your home with minimal expense. The good thing about creating your own lip gloss is that you can adjust the color and the flavor depending on your mood. If your skin is sensitive, it is also an advantage because you can combine the right amount of lip moisturizer and vitamin E.

Before you begin with the procedures, you have to prepare the following ingredients and materials.
1. Base – It can be either petroleum jelly or beeswax. This serves as a skin protector. It protects your lips from ultraviolet sun rays that causes dry skin and results in chapped lips. It doesn’t only prevent chapped lips; it can also serve as a remedy for cuts and burns.
2. Vitamin E – There are several benefits of Vitamin E. It is an antioxidant. It protects skin cells from UV rays, drugs, destructive chemicals and other elements that are harmful for your skin cells. It prevents and treats sunburns. It has an anti-aging benefit that helps your skin look younger. Last but not least, it prevents water loss that supports skin barrier function. Vitamin E is readily available in drug stores. It comes in capsules that you have to prick to let the liquid out.
3. Flavorings – There are lots of flavors that you can choose from. They will add some spice to your personalized lip gloss. You can choose the flavor depending on your mood.
4. The procedure will vary on the flavor you choose. For example, if you choose cranberries, you have to boil them first, crush them, and strain them just to get the fruit extract. Unlike when you chose honey or vanilla, all you have to do is put the following ingredients in the container. Some flavors can be very complicated but if they satisfy your want then it is worth the effort.

Procedure:
After deciding on the ingredients, you can now begin the first step in making your personalized lip gloss.

1. Mix 1 cup of petroleum jelly and 1/2 ounce of beeswax in a bowl.
2. Melt the mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds.
3. If you have sensitive skin, it is advisable to add 4 capsules of Vitamin E to the mixture to prevent any allergic reaction on other chemicals that might be included on your lip gloss.
4. Add a few drops of the fruit extract in the container and stir well.
5. For the final step, pour the mixture in small containers and let it cool for about 5 minutes.

You can now enjoy the pleasure of having your homemade lip gloss!
